The WaterSensor+ is a wireless sensor that detects the presence of water. The sensor also measures temperature and humidity and can warn in case of danger of frost. If water is detected, the sensor sends signals to the Linkbox+ Geo. A light and sound alarm is triggered both on the sensor and on the Linkbox+ Geo, in addition to push notifications in connected mobile applications. The wireless water sensor is small and can be placed freely where the risk of leakage is greatest or where temperature and humidity are desired. The included battery has a lifespan of >5 years.

Accessories
WaterSensor+ Cover
The WaterSensor+ Cover is used to fix the WaterSensor+ inside the boat. The cover ensures the WaterSensor+ stays in place, while also protecting the sensor from accidental impacts. The cover includes double-sided tape for mounting on surfaces where drilling is not desirable, such as the boat hull.
Functionality
WaterSensor+ is a wireless water sensor that communicates with the Linkbox+ Geo via WiMEA, a proprietary wireless protocol developed by for safety-critical communications between Linkbox+ Geo and safety critical sensors.
Water detection: WaterSensor+ is capable of detecting even small amounts of water, triggering an alarm on Link. This feature is crucial for preventing water damage in your home by providing early warning of leaks from pipes, appliances or other sources.
Temperature measurement: WaterSensor+ continuously measures ambient temperature. This helps you keep track of the temperature conditions in your home and makes it possible to detect the risk of frost damage to water pipes and other installations.
Relative humidity (RH) measurement: WaterSensor+ measures the relative humidity (RH) where the unit is located. This is useful for monitoring the humidity level in your home. By keeping track of humidity, you can identify and address potential moisture-related issues before they escalate.

Operating system
WaterSensor+ runs the AbraOS operating system, a proprietary Real Time Operating System (RTOS) that runs in real time. The AbraOS operating system is designed for use in security-critical functions, and to be immune to viruses and cyberattacks, providing an extra layer of security for your smart home.
Abra OS automatically updates over-the-air (OTA) if WaterSensor+ is connected to Linkbox+ via WiMEA or from mobile phone over Bluetooth. This ensures that the latest version of the operating system is always installed and that you always have access to the latest features and security enhancements. The update process takes only a few minutes and is completed at times when critical features are not in use.
Communication
WaterSensor+ supports the following communication protocols:
WiMEA | 915 MHz FCC (US/CAN), 868 MHz RED (EU) |
Bluetooth |
2.4 GHz |
Zigbee |

Installation
Guidelines for choosing the optimal location
The WaterSensor+ can be be installed flat on a suitable surface, alternatively fixed using the WaterSensor+ Bracket.
Reduce disruption: Keep WaterSensor+ away from electronic devices that might interfere with signals, such as microwave ovens or cordless phones. We recommend > 1 m distance to mentioned or similar equipment that transmits or receives high-frequency radio signals.
Check signal strength: Ensure that the WaterSensor+ is within the wireless range of the Linkbox+ Geo.
WaterSensor+ standalone installation
Position the WaterSensor+ in locations where there is a risk of water leaks.
This is typically at the bottom of the hull, in the engine department or inside the boat cabin.
Water sensor installation with WaterSensor+ Bracket
The WaterSensor+ can be placed freestanding or mounted on the hull, helm or other location in the boat that requires water detection. The bracket provides flexibility to strategically place the sensor in locations where humidity measurement is critical for health and building integrity.
-
Clean the mounting surface and remove the 4x tape covers before mounting the bracket.
or
Mount using screws suitable for the surface, minimum 2x (max. Ø3 mm). Do not overtighten, as this will damage the bracket.
- Place the WaterSensor+ in the bracket, and mount the cover on top.
- Turn the cover in the direction of the arrow to lock. You will hear and feel a "click" when the cover is in place. Unlock the cover by turning in the opposite direction.
Use of the product
Pairing WaterSensor+ with Linkbox+ Geo
- Insert batteries into the WaterSensor+
-
Activate WaterSensor+ paring mode on Linkbox+ Geo
